COMSTOCK PARK, MI -- Thousands of people filled the parking lot outside Fifth Third Ballpark for the 15th annual Michigan Winter Beer Festival.
The festival hosted 133 Michigan breweries and brewpubs and featured nearly 850 beers.
“The Michigan Winter Beer Festival is one of the most unique and exciting events of its kind because it is held outside during the winter season,” said Dianna Stampfler, a spokesperson for the event. “It’s truly a Pure Michigan experience."
Entertainment for the event included music from local artists, a folk band, Stone Soup and the Broken Teeth and a hard rock band, Slumlord Radio, as well as a magician.
Guests dressed in an array of winter fashion from costumes as kings to animal onesies and basic winter gear to 1990s inspired snow skiing attire.
The event brought brewers and beer enthusiasts alike from all over Michigan together for one special day.
"Beer is made with a little bit of magic, a little bit of love, and a little bit of science," said One Well Brewery owner Chris O'Neill.
