FIBBERS CLUB

Head to Charlestown tonight for Monday Night Movie and a screening of “The Good Liar” at 6 p.m. at the Cross’ Mills Library, 4417 Old Post Road in Charlestown. The movie is free and popcorn will be provided. For more information, call 401-364-6211 or visit crossmills.org.

FAT TUESDAY FUN

Fill up on flapjacks Tuesday at Christ Church’s annual Shrove Tuesday/Fat Tuesda/Mardi Gras Pancake Supper presented by the Christ Church Acolyte Guild. The supper will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for children under 12, and $20 for families. Tickets will be sold at the the door.  

CABIN FEVER CURE

Head to Mystic Saturday to to shake off that winter chill and enjoy the 17th annual Cabin Fever Festival and Charity Chowder Cook-Off at Olde Mistick Village from noon to 4 p.m. More than a dozen local restaurants will serve up their signature chowder and you can help choose the winner. Chowder tickets are $1 for each 3-ounce cup of chowder or 12 tickets for $10. Tickets will be on sale Saturday at various store locations. SCHOOL RULES

Sit in on a meeting of the Westerly School Committee Wednesday beginning at 6 p.m. at the Westerly Town Hall, 45 Broad St. Westerly.

KNICK NIGHTS

Dance to the music of The Chris Leigh Band, a progressive blues rock band, on Wednesday at the Knickerbocker Music Center, 35 Railroad Ave. in Westerly. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Free dance lessons starting at 7 p.m. with music from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Return Saturday night for music with Johnny & The East Coast Rockers, when Johnny MacLeod and his band perform original tunes and favorite covers from the 40s, 50s, and 60s in an eclectic mix that combines elements of traditional blues, swing, jazz, R&B and roots rock. BLOCK TALK

Hear Mystic native Lou Allyn talk on Wednesday about “The Phoenix of Mystic,” also known as The Central Hall Block, the West Main Street building which was recently restored after a fire in 2000. The talk takes place at 7:30 p.m. at Mystic Congregational Church Hall, 43 East Main St., Mystic. The program is free to members; a $5 donation is suggested for nonmembers. GO TO THE GRANITE

Head to the Granite Theatre this weekend for some unexpected fun. On Friday, New York-based comedian and writer Noah Gardenswartz, who was a semi-finalist on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and a writer for “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” will be on stage for a comedy show at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20. On Saturday at 2 p.m., Simply Enchanted will host an interactive children’s show called “Simply Frozen,” featuring everyone’s favorite icy trio. Actors will sing, dance and pose for photos. Tickets are $13 and available at the box office at granitetheatre.com, or by calling 401-596-2341.

ILLUMINATION

Catch a performance from the The Lumineers with special guest Mt. Joy and Diana Demuth Saturday when the musicians play at the Mohegan Sun Arena during their “III The World Tour.” Tickets range from $49 to $129 and are available through Ticketmaster.
