Malibu's Polli-Power Program Offers Kids a Fun, Interactive Environmental Education Activity - Santa Monica Daily Press

bulukarga.blogspot.com

April is Earth Month, a great time for local students in grades TK through 5 to participate in the City of Malibu Community Services Department’s 2021 Polli-Power Program environmental education series. From April 12 through May 31, students can learn about pollinator species like insects and birds and their important role in habitats and environmental conservation through short films, activities, gardening and art projects.

The City will give away one hundred Polli-Power bags with art supplies and items to start a home pollinator garden. Families may register for a free bag and pick-up date at MalibuCity.org/Register.

The Polli-Power bag includes art supplies for students to create a spring suncatcher window display. After completing the art project, families may drop it off at various City locations to be included in the “Beauty in Bloom” art exhibition that will be on display at the Michael Landon Center at Malibu Bluffs Park May 3 through 31.

Visit MalibuCity.org/PolliPower for program details and deadlines and follow the Community Services Department on social media for information on upcoming programs.
