Fun in the snow on Ann Arbor Public Schools' first snow day of 2020

ANN ARBOR, MI – Two to three inches of overnight snow and more on the waygave Ann Arbor Public Schools' students their second snow day of the 2019-20 school year on Wednesday, Feb. 26.

Kids flocked to Ann Arbor sledding spots at Veterans Park, Hunt Park and Burns Park for an afternoon of downhill fun.

AAPS called its only other snow day of the year after about 11 inches of overnight snow on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019.

The district totaled nine snow days for the 2018-19 school year, a high water mark that led Superintendent Jeanice Swift to consider petitioning the state for a waiver to allow the district to start the 2020-21 season before Labor Day.
