The Rosenberg Railroad Museum’s Fall Fun Fest is gearing up for its seventh edition of welcoming rail-curious patrons to enjoy activities in and around the museum.
The Seventh Annual Fall Fun Fest-May the Steam Be With You Fundraiser is slated to take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at the museum at 1921 Avenue F in Rosenberg. It is the museum’s first festival fundraiser since 2019 with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic wiping out activities at the facility in 2020.
“Fall Fun Fest 2021 will be a great opportunity to see all of the progress taking place at the museum including our ‘Women in Railroading’ temporary exhibit,” said Rainey Webster, the museum’s executive director. “Bring the whole family out for a really fun day — there is something for all ages to see and do.”
According to a news release, the event will include rides on the Diamond Express replica steam trackless train, actual steam trains on the garden railroad, visitors from a galaxy far, far away, up-close views of trains going by from our rail fan observation deck, operation lifesaver and Texas Rail Trail booths, bounce houses, face painting, model train displays, carnival games and prizes, food trucks, music and more. Patrons are encouraged to wear costumes.
The event is scheduled to go on rain or shine. Tickets are $10 general admission for everyone 2 years old and older. All fest activities are included with admission.
