The crowds have started picking up recently in Disney World.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

We’ve seen some pretty low wait times in the last few weeks, but there were unexpected rides with LONG waits recently. It’s getting busier as we get closer to Halloween, but this is also a holiday weekend with Columbus Day on Monday. Let’s take a look at the crowds in Disney World on this holiday weekend!

Last time we had a holiday weekend, we were surprised that there weren’t too many people in the parks. Today, though, we’ve noticed it has been pretty busy overall, but there are also some areas that seem like a ghost town. Let’s get into it!

Magic Kingdom

We started our day at Magic Kingdom where there was a long line at the Transportation and Ticket Center to use the Monorail to get to Magic Kingdom. As a reminder, you can use the Monorail or the ferry boat to get over to the park!

Once we got into the park, we noticed it wasn’t too busy in the park…or so we thought.

Not too bad when you enter

When we turned the corner onto Main Street, U.S.A., we found all of the people. The street was full of people making their way up to Cinderella Castle.

If you don’t think it was that busy then get this — we noticed several restaurants were behind on Mobile Orders. This is a look at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe where guests keep refreshing their phones waiting for their order to say it’s ready. Some people said they waited 40 minutes for their Mobile Order!

We also noticed this at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe. A Cast Member confirmed that there was a backup of 25 minutes and they had 90 orders to get out in that time window.

Things are pretty busy at Magic Kingdom, but what about the other parks?

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

This was our view after entering Animal Kingdom within an hour of opening time. The park is pretty roomy compared to others and this gave a chance for the crowds to spread out.

We did notice a few people in line at snack spots like Trilo-Bites, but it was nothing out of the ordinary.

The rest of DinoLand surprised us because just look at this ghost town! This was in the middle of the day — we’re shocked to see that there is almost nobody around.

Even in Chester and Hester’s shop, there were only a handful of guests shopping.

This park is big and has plenty of room for holiday weekend crowds, but let’s see how Hollywood Studios holds up.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios is often known as the most crowded park to visit and that was pretty accurate based on where we went today. Here is a look at the crowds in Toy Story Land!

Lots of guests were getting their Star Wars merchandise fix by shopping at Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities — it was kinda packed in here!

There is your look at the crowds on a holiday weekend in Disney World. Overall, we saw what we expected, but there were a few surprises along the way like the Mobile Order issues and the empty DinoLand!
