Crowded Texas Trial Docket To Continue In 2nd Half Of 2022 - Law360

By Katie Buehler (June 29, 2022, 3:48 PM EDT) -- Federal and state courts across Texas have been increasing the number of in-person trials they are holding, and shortening the downtime between them, since the beginning of the year to make use of relatively low counts of COVID-19 cases.

Attorneys and judges told Law360 they expect this trend to continue despite future variants, as courts now know how to function in a pandemic and are looking to stymie real or perceived case backlogs.
